ABOUT ROXY
Helping and supporting others has always been a core part of who I am. I’m passionate about working with people, creating a safe space, and exploring how I can best support individuals to reach their goals, often by thinking outside the box and tailoring my approach to their unique needs.
My journey began in 2007 when I started working with at risk youth, living with complex trauma and mental health challenges within Residential Care for the Department for Child Protection. Over 14 years, I completed various secondments across different areas and roles within the Department of Communities, giving me the opportunity to broaden my skillset and deepen my understanding of people and complex government systems.
For the past 6 years, I’ve worked in the disability sector and have been directly involved with Clarity Support Coordination for the last 3.5 years. Every day, I feel fortunate to be part of work that empowers others and creates meaningful change.
Outside of work, I’m a wife, proud mum to my son, and dog-mum to our fur baby Loki, who completes our fun-loving little family. We’re all about making memories, dancing, singing, being silly, and exploring the great outdoors together.
MEET SAM
ABOUT SAM
Originally from the UK, my passion for helping others began when my late grandad became terminally ill. The kindness and dedication shown by the support workers and carers who assisted our family left a lasting impression on me, it was life changing. I knew then that I wanted to provide the same support and compassion to other families going through challenging times.
I pursued this passion by completing a Diploma in Health and Social Communities Care at college in the UK. I later began studying paramedicine but took a step back to focus on raising my two wonderful children.
Now living in Australia with my FIFO partner, I’m a proud mum to two kids and a much loved dog, Poppy. Life outside of work is filled with adventure, laughter, beach days, travel, and quality time with friends and family.
I’ve worked in the disability sector for over eight years and have been a part of the Clarity team since November 2021. I feel incredibly lucky to work in a role that allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives every day.
